One of the things that I believe is important in the viewing of the outward ‘effects’ of what different organizations do, is what are the trailing motivations behind their activities.
We could suggest this in anything really. But what are the motivations behind Wikileaks? Is it a case of doing the right thing for the wrong reason?(1) Perhaps.
Bottom line, if we are going to adopt a position of a breaking a lower law, we better be very sure we are doing it for selfless reasons.(2) Not based on some narcissistic ego driven position.
The collective voice appears to be we need far more information of governments and their activity and these types of leaks are no doubt going to be a regular occurrence in the future. Perhaps seeing the problem from a perspective of already having the solution?
Where, we as part of the collective consciousness have played a part in the causation of this very problem. Then it follows to direct our activity to overcoming our resistances first, and then, choosing a path which is for the benefit of all.
Which is to say – Informed Consent of these types of activities.
If we are a victim, which appears to be where Wikileaks are coming from, then, we create more of the problem we are fighting against.
If you notice the rhetoric used by these types of hackers, they are always fighting against and outside oppressor. As they move up the scale of emotions they in turn will become the oppressor themselves.
Seek to change our consciousness and then follow this with an outer action which, rather than being a narcissistic episode, is based on sound principles of benefit to all.
This is not to suggest that social activism is to be avoided.. not at all, but do so with an eye into the causation and we will eventually change the outer, as an expression of the inner.
